Stella Atari 2600 emulation for Windows

Stella was created by Bradford W. Mott in late 1995. Written in C++ and named after the prototype version of the Atari 2600 Video Computer System, this robust emulator finely replicates genuine Atari 2600 gameplay.
Stella has been ported over to a variety of operating systems and is available in open source under the General Public License (GPL). This emulator is packaged in a Windows installer with a few path options.
Options are available for joystick & mouse control as well as a variety of video rendering and audio settings. It even includes a debugger for those who venture into the challenging and honorable practice of coding for the Atari 2600.
This is a wicked emulator that carries you back into the Atari years. Unlike the wasteful practices of today with our multicore chips, clusters of gigabytes, and layers of interpreted languages, Stella and the Atari 2600 generate a pristine appreciation for the amazing things the coders could do with the limited means they had.
