Alekmaul the creator of the Apple ][ emulator for the Nintendo DS has released a second version.

Some info from his site (translated from French):

Here an APPLE emulator ][, ][e and ][c for DS! This emulator was based on my various research of Apple emulators but especially DApple. It is now completely rewritten with 6502 emulation out of assembler.

Version 2.0 30/11/2008
* Much faster since the integration of the 6502 out of assembler ARM
* Great improvement of the sound
* Supported format NIB
* Sorting of the list of the files dsk and nib
* New interface (big thanks to zeblackos)
* More need for the roms Apple][(integrated into the program)
* Management of the mode takes care of the DS (the closed cap puts in pause l' execution)
* Addition of the alpha lerp for an aspect more smoothed with the screen
* Addition of possibility to safeguard the screen with format BMP

pomDS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
pomDS is an Apple ][ Computer emulator.
To use this emulator, you must use compatibles DSK or NIB files.
You also need at least the apple ][ and disk bios.
Do not ask me about such files, I don't have them. A search with Google will certainly
help you.
You must know that there is a big database in the asimov ftp or search for emulator
like appleemu ;) !

2 versions of pomDS are shipped, one fast in assembly langage but not so much
compatible and one slower bit more compatbile, just choose the right version
regarding the disk youw ant to run ^^!

How to use pomDS :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
YOU MUST USE THE DLDI PATCHER BEFORE USING THE NDS FILE. Please, patch the file with
the correct drivers regarding your linker (i give you the windows GUI for easy patch).
Unzip pomDS.nds in the root directory on your flashcard / SD / MMC card.
Be careful, you must put it and the rom files in the root directory of your flashcard / SD / MMC card.
Put your dsk files in the directory that you want.

That's all, pomDS can now be execute :) !

When the emulator starts, click on the disk drive to choose a file. you are use Up/Down
to select a file, then use A to load it.
The default loaded file, if exists, is named master.dsk

Controls :
* Keyboard with stylus
* Direction pad : direction pad from keyboard ...
* A : 0 Key
* B : L Key
* X : SHIFT Key (can't be modify)
* Y : CONTROL Key (can't be modify)
* X direction pad : move screen when you are in standard resolution
* R : SHIFT Key (can't be modify)
* L : CONTROL Key (can't be modify)
* START : Enter Key
* SELECT : Space Key

You can also click on the pomDS logo to have the option menu.

Compatibility with some games
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some games should not work because the are copy protected. You can try to desactivate
the FASTMODE mode in the option menu and after, you must do a RESET of the Apple][,
this tip can do theses games playables.
Be carefull, this mode hangs pomDS often, put it at startup, load the file and do a
RESET.
