iPhone/touch Nintendo Emulators

imageNES, SNES, Gameboy are available for the jailbroken iPhone and touch. Unlike the Playstation emulator, these ones do not require a BIOS.

SNES4iPhone was created by ZodTTD in early 2008 and has been updated several times. It will function on both the iPhone and the touch and has evolved to allow for greater compatibility and better multitouch functionality - ie you can now 'roll' your thumb between buttons to allow for dual activation.

It supports landscape and portrait displays, has fairly good frame rates, is compatible with save states, and has excellent compatibility with a wide array of SNES games.

SNES4iPhone Setup
1. Jailbreak your device.
2. install "ZodTTD Required Library" with the Installer app
3. install "snes4iphone"
4. create path /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/SNES
5. copy ROMs to above folder and set their permissions to 0755
6. launch snes4iphone and select a game.

NES.app was created by Jonathan Zdziarski in 2007. It is compatible with multitouch, the zapper (tap the screen to zap), save states, accelerometer, has sound, frame skip, full screen, game genie compatibility, and allows a second player.
